Great Gatsby’s Auction Gallery requires individuals to register for every sale we conduct. If you will be bidding with us online, we strongly recommend that you register with us at least 24 hours in advance of the auction, to ensure that your registration has been received and processed by our staff. Additionally, if you plan to absentee bid or bid by phone we must receive your completed forms at least one day prior to the auction date. We make every effort to accurately depict each lot via a series of photographs and detailed catalog descriptions provided by our staff of specialists. Please note, however, that all sales are final. Should you have questions about an item prior to the sale, please request a condition report and we will be happy to assist you.

Ways to Bid With Us

In-Person Bidding

Bidding “in the room” means that you attend the auction in person at our 5180 Peachtree Boulevard, Atlanta, Georgia, 30341 location. You obtain a bidding paddle at the registration desk, and you bid live in front of our auctioneers. You will be asked to provide a valid ID with your current address. If you are bidding in person you may pay for and leave with your portable items at the end of that day’s sale. All items picked up in person are subject to a 8% sales tax required by Georgia State law, unless you hold a valid sales tax exemption certificate. You will be asked to provide us with a copy of the actual certificate as required by the State of Georgia.

Telephone Bidding

Our staff of telephone concierges is available to assist clients who prefer to bid by telephone. We offer this service as a courtesy and encourage you to request these services well in advance of the auction. Online Bidding

Many of our clients prefer to bid online, which is simple and efficient. Register online with either of the bidding platforms we use and remember to also register for the specific auction being offered. Our staff reviews each registration received, so please allow at least 24 hours for approval.

Live Auctioneers or Invaluable

Absentee Bidding

If you will not be available during an auction but wish to bid on a particular item, absentee bidding allows you to leave a maximum bid amount with our staff. We will bid competitively on your behalf until there are no competing bids or until your maximum bid is reached. Please note that Great Gatsby’s Auction Gallery charges a 23% buyer’s premium in addition to the final hammer price of each item sold. Please take this into consideration when planning your maximum bid.
